Get behind the wheel from age 8

You drive here, on an outdoor floodlit circuit. The minimum age is 8, and three sizes of kart cover the ages: junior karts for younger children, medium karts for older children and teens, and adult karts for 16 and over. So children, teens and adults can all take a turn at the wheel without needing a driving licence. Everyone is given a helmet and suit and a safety briefing on how to operate the kart before they go out. Check the venue's own pages for any safety gear you need to bring or can buy on site. Private group bookings can take exclusive use of the circuit, which makes it a strong pick for birthdays, stags and hens, and works outings.

The story

About the venue

Railway Karting sits at 48 Cookstown Road, Moneymore, on the County Londonderry side of Mid-Ulster, with an outdoor floodlit circuit of roughly 960 metres. The site has grown from a karting centre into a wider children's activity and adventure park, with a play area, amusements and party rooms added alongside the track.

It runs go-karting for families, birthdays, stags and hens and corporate groups, with a fleet covering three kart sizes so the whole family can drive. Opening days lean towards weekends and Friday evenings, with weekday slots given over to private group bookings.
