The alley has 4 tenpin lanes, which is plenty for a family or a small group but does mean spaces fill up, so book ahead rather than turning up and hoping. Bring a pair of socks; bowling alleys hire out shoes, and you'll want to confirm shoe hire when you book. The story

About the venue

Cookstown Leisure Centre is run by Mid Ulster District Council and is described as one of the largest leisure centres in the province, combining tenpin bowling with two pools, a gym, sports hall, squash courts and the Playshack soft play. Its facilities were refurbished in December 2010, and it remains one of Mid-Ulster's main leisure and sporting venues.
