The bowling: full-size lanes and a gentler duckpin option

There are 15 full-size tenpin lanes here, plus duckpin bowling that uses shorter lanes and lighter balls. That duckpin setup is a kinder introduction for young children and anyone who finds a standard bowling ball a handful. The venue recommends booking the games you want in advance, particularly at busier times. Bumpers and ramps for very young children are standard at most alleys but not confirmed for this venue, so check when you book. Shoe hire arrangements are not confirmed either, so ask at the desk.

The story

About the venue

King Pins Belfast opened in December inside The Keep, the retail and leisure development on the site of the former BHS on Castle Lane. The 30,000 sq ft complex spans two floors and was a multi-million-pound investment creating more than 50 jobs.

The brand was founded in 2023 and already runs venues in Manchester, Leeds, Bristol and Glasgow. Belfast is its first Northern Ireland location.
