What's on the water

The aqua park is a floating WiBit obstacle course with slides, climbing walls, balance beams and jumps that you clamber across and drop off into the lake. The minimum age is 6 and the minimum height is 110cm, and you must be able to swim to take part. Children under 12 must have a responsible adult on the park with them, with one adult to no more than three children. Every participant wears a buoyancy aid and a wetsuit, both provided. It is genuinely physical, splashy fun aimed at confident swimmers rather than little ones who only paddle, so it suits older children, teens and adults best.

The story

About the venue

Splash sits on a 12-acre spring-fed lake on the site of a former quarry near Moneymore in Mid-Ulster, gradually filled by underground springs over several decades. After a roughly 2 million investment it added a large WiBit inflatable aqua park, wood-fired lakeside saunas and modern changing and eatery facilities, opening as an outdoor adventure waterpark.
