Plan your visit

Crazy golf by the sea, plus go-karts and pedalo swans

The crazy golf is a standard putter-and-ball course where you walk round at your own pace, supplied with a club and ball. It is one part of a small seaside fun park rather than a standalone attraction, so alongside it you will find go-karts and pedalo swans shaped like swans. In the summer months the park also runs the 'Mourne Eye' big wheel and a children's carousel. The mix suits families with younger children who want a bit of variety in one stop. We could not confirm the exact hole count or any course theme, so check with the venue if that matters to you.

The story

About the course

Castle Park is a long-running seaside fun park in the centre of Newcastle, off Central Promenade beside the Bowling Green building, run via the Newcastle Centre under Newry, Mourne and Down District Council. In recent summers it has been joined by the 'Mourne Eye' big wheel and a children's carousel, which have become a familiar sight on the seafront during the holiday season.
