The thermal circuit is the reason to come. You move between the hydrotherapy pool, the sauna, the steam room and the saunarium, rinse off under the monsoon showers, and drop into the cold plunge pool, which is the newest addition. Then you go round again.

The story

A spa run by a charity

Spa Experience is a trading name of GLL, a charitable social enterprise that runs leisure centres across the UK under the Better brand. Any surplus goes back into the facilities rather than out to shareholders.

That is the whole point of the place. A thermal suite with a hydrotherapy pool and a cold plunge is usually something you drive to a country hotel for and pay a country hotel price. This one is on the Boucher Road, beside a football ground, in a building where somebody is playing badminton upstairs.
