Weekly lessons for beginners and improvers

The core of Gransha is its regular weekly lessons, where you book a place and work through the basics to build confidence and steadily improve. Beginners and more advanced riders are both catered for, and anyone from age five up is welcome. Riders who have their own horse can arrange individual lessons to school themselves and their horse. Because it's a teaching yard the focus is arena work rather than trekking out, which suits people who want to genuinely learn to ride.

About the place

Gransha Equestrian Centre was established by Adrienne Stuart more than thirty years ago and sits on around 42 acres between Bangor, Newtownards and Donaghadee in County Down. It is a British Horse Society approved riding school and livery yard.

The centre has built its reputation on steady teaching and a full calendar of its own competitions, giving local riders somewhere to learn the basics and then progress into showing and jumping without travelling far.
