Lessons and treks

Tuition covers all levels, from a child's first sit on a pony through to riders training for BHS assessments. Once you have the basics the centre runs scenic treks through the local countryside, and beach rides are part of what they offer given how close Browns Bay is. Ask when you book which treks are running for your level.

The story

About Islandmagee Riding Centre

Islandmagee Riding Centre sits on Browns Bay Road near the top of the peninsula, minutes from the sandy horseshoe of Browns Bay. You book a lesson, they match you to the right horse, and lessons run in an arena before you head out on a hack. For younger riders there are birthday parties and an Own a Pony Week that teaches the care side, not just the riding.
