The pools

The main pool is a 25m six-lane tank, good for lane swimming and family public sessions. The learner pool has water features, which gives younger children shallow water and something to play with rather than a bare rectangle. On a weekday you can walk in and swim; at the weekend book ahead.

About Down Leisure Centre

This is Downpatrick's main pool and it is a proper modern facility. You get a full-size 25m six-lane pool for swimmers, a separate learner pool with water features to keep small children happy, and a vitality health suite for the adults afterwards. Add a 75-station gym and a four-court sports hall and it covers a whole family in one building.
