Plan your visit
Shallow, heated and built for little ones
The Tropicana is a set of shallow heated outdoor pools, not a deep leisure pool with flumes and a wave machine. Toddlers get their own paddling pools and the Nellie the Elephant slide, sized for the smallest visitors. Because the water is shallow and heated, it works best for toddlers up through primary age. Under-4s go free, and a parent should stay in the water with any child who cannot swim. Any age limits or supervision rules are not confirmed - check with the venue. Showers and toilets are on site.

The Newcastle Centre it sits in runs swim sessions, classes and schemes year-round. Check their own pages for current times and prices.
