The animals your kids actually get to touch
Streamvale is hands-on, not look-only. Pet's Corner puts rabbits, guinea pigs and baby goats within cuddling reach, and from March to June there are set feeding times when children bottle-feed the lambs and kid goats. Out in the paddock you'll meet donkeys, ponies, cows and sheep, and the pigs have their own Piggy Palace. The nature trail winds past chickens, peacocks and turkeys, with a Deer View Park and even a Rat Room for the curious. The daily milking of the dairy herd is the part most visitors remember.

Good to know before you go:
Many farms are seasonal and busiest in spring lambing and the school holidays, so it’s worth checking opening times before you travel. These are working livestock farms, so pet dogs usually aren’t allowed (assistance dogs excepted), and a few take cash only — so bring a little with you.

Accessibility
Mostly concrete paths with some lightly stoned areas; wheelchair-friendly with an accessible tractor ride. The woodland nature trail is uneven and the old milking parlour has stairs, so those areas are harder to reach.

Streamvale is a genuine working dairy farm in Dundonald, on the eastern edge of Belfast, that opens its gates to families for the main season each year. The herd of over 200 cows is still milked daily, and visitors watch from the parlour rail, which is what sets it apart from a pure petting zoo.
It has grown into one of Northern Ireland's most popular family farms, with a mix of paddock animals, Pet's Corner, a nature trail, play areas and tractor rides all bundled into one admission. The same site also runs glamping pods nearby for families who want to make a longer trip of it.
