A four-star golf and spa resort sitting in its own parkland by the River Roe, just outside Limavady. This is a resort, not a walk-in attraction — the day out is a round of golf, a spa day, a scone and a coffee, or dinner and a stay.
What you'll find — a country-house hotel in around 150 acres of parkland, an 18-hole parkland golf course wrapped around it, a golf academy with a driving range, a spa and leisure club with a pool, and restaurants and a bar — all on the edge of Roe Valley Country Park.
How to visit — pick your thing: a tee time on the golf course, a spa day or treatment, home-made scones in the lounge, a meal in one of the restaurants, or a night or two away.
The golf — an 18-hole, par-70 parkland course (thought to be around 6,300 yards), plus a driving range and an indoor golf academy for lessons. Book a tee time ahead.
The spa & leisure club — treatments, a heated leisure pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, and a gym. Spa and treatment slots need booking.
It's a resort — plan what you're coming for. The "day out" here is golf, a spa day, afternoon-style scones, dinner or a stay — not a turn-up-and-wander visitor attraction with a ticket gate.
Book golf, spa and dining ahead. Tee times, treatments and tables are best reserved before you travel, especially at weekends.
How long — anything from a couple of hours for a treatment or a bite, to a full day of golf or a weekend stay.
Cost — varies by what you do. Green fees, spa treatments, dining and rooms are all priced separately — check the current rates when you book.
Food — restaurants and a bar on site, plus home-made scones (plain, fruit, cherry, or chocolate and orange) in the lounge. Booking is wise for dinner.
Getting there & parking — signposted off the edge of Limavady, Co. Londonderry, with free parking on site.
The setting — parkland demesne beside the River Roe, right next to Roe Valley Country Park's riverside trails, so a walk in the park pairs easily with a visit.

How do I "do" a resort? Pick your day.
Roe Park is a hotel resort, so there's no single ticket — you choose the experience. Golfers book a tee time on the 18-hole course or a lesson at the academy. Spa-goers book a treatment or a leisure-club session. Everyone else can drop in for scones and coffee, lunch after a round, or dinner in the evening — and it all sits right beside Roe Valley Country Park for a riverside walk. Reserve golf, spa and dinner ahead, and confirm current prices when you book.
The resort has been operating under the name Roe Valley Resort — same place, same grounds. Check the current website for opening details, spa hours, green fees and menus before you set off, as these can change.

Can I walk by the river?
The resort sits right on the edge of Roe Valley Country Park, so its riverside trails along the River Roe are on the doorstep — an easy pairing with a spa day or a bite to eat.
Getting there
Roe Park Resort, Limavady, Co. Londonderry, BT49 9LB — signposted on the edge of Limavady, in parkland beside the River Roe and Roe Valley Country Park, with free parking on site.
The resort grew out of an old country estate on the edge of Limavady, where the River Roe cuts down through its wooded valley. At its heart is an 18th-century manor house, restored along with its original coach house and gate lodge — the buildings that give the place its country-house feel.
The estate has a small footnote in engineering history: it's said to be the site of the first hydro-electric power introduced in Ireland, drawing on the fast water of the Roe. That link to the river runs right through the grounds, which sit on the edge of Roe Valley Country Park and its riverside trails.
Golf came later. An 18-hole parkland course was laid out across the demesne in the 1990s, with holes reworked in the years since, and the hotel, spa and leisure club built up around it. The restored 18th-century coach house now houses one of the resort's restaurants — old estate buildings put back to work.
Today it's a four-star golf and spa resort of around 150 acres: a course wrapped round the hotel, a spa and pool, restaurants and rooms, all beside the Roe. Come for a round, a treatment, a scone or a stay — and take a walk in the country park while you're there.
