Challenger Helicopters — A 15-minute scenic helicopter flight for up to three over Dromore and Banbridge.
You get a short safety briefing and an optional walkaround of the helicopter, then take off for a roughly 15-minute scenic loop in a Robinson R44. The standard route covers Dromore and Banbridge, passing The Boulevard shopping centre and the Game of Thrones Studio. Up to three people can share the flight, or two adults with a child. If you want more, an upgrade extends the route towards the Mourne Mountains, Kilkeel Harbour and Newcastle for an additional charge.
Flying here runs on the weather, so slots move at short notice — take the reschedule, it’s part of the sport. Some of the sites and clubs listed on Days Out NI are for members and qualified pilots rather than walk-in visitors, so check what’s on offer before you set off. And check the age, weight and health limits before you book: they’re set by the aircraft, not by anyone being fussy.
