No previous experience is needed, as staff run you through how to handle the boat before you set off. Out on Lower Lough Erne you may spot herons, swans and other water birds and pass islands like White Island, though wildlife is never guaranteed. About the trip

Aghinver Boat Company, also trading as ABC Boat Company, is a family-run business that has been in the marine industry for over 40 years. The McCaldin family run one of the most modern, clean and well-equipped charter cruiser fleets in Ireland from their private, sheltered harbour at Aghinver, overlooking Lough Erne's historic White Island.

Alongside self-drive cruiser hire, the company offers marina services, new and used boat sales, maintenance and valeting, hoist facilities and winter storage, with bases linked to Lough Erne, the Shannon-Erne Waterway and the River Shannon.
