How the rituals work

Rather than booking a single treatment and leaving, you book a ritual. The Full Day Ritual starts from £395 per person and includes morning coffee, a seasonal lunch and afternoon tea. The Half Day Ritual starts from £195 per person and includes morning coffee or afternoon tea. Both combine thermal suite access with treatments from the spa's menu. You can also design your own, choosing individual treatments across facial, body, holistic and bath categories.

The story

Sustainable before it was a selling point

Pure has been going in this corner of Co. Down since the early 2000s, which makes it one of the longer-running independent spas in Northern Ireland. It has picked up awards for its sustainability rather than its marble.

The food tells you most of what you need to know about the operation. Lunch leans on locally sourced and home-grown produce from regional suppliers instead of a catering contract. The spa frames itself around restoration across body, mind and spirit, and it builds the day slowly enough that the framing actually holds up.
