A genuinely small, local brewery

Ormeau Brewing Co. describes itself as truly nano scale, brewing in small batches for customers close to home. The beer is made from locally sourced ingredients and distributed in the most efficient way possible, all powered by renewable energy. Rather than chasing a national footprint, the brewery serves its own corner of Belfast first. That makes it a real local find for anyone working through the city's independent beer makers.

The story

About Ormeau Brewing Co.

Ormeau Brewing Co. launched in 2022 as one of Belfast's newest breweries, founded on a 25-year history of travel, beer culture, sampling and home brewing. Inspired by experiences from Australia to Europe, the founders set out to brew internationally-influenced beer at a local level.

The brewery works at nano scale and leans hard into sustainability, using 100% renewable energy and locally sourced ingredients, then distributing as efficiently as possible to customers in its immediate area. Its beer is sold in can and keg and recognised through SIBA's Indie Beer scheme, marking it out as part of Northern Ireland's growing independent craft beer community.
