What the tour gives you

A member of the Boundary team leads you round the working brewery so you see and smell each stage of how the beer is made. The tour runs on Saturdays; check the current ticket price on the Boundary website before you book. It ends with a tutored tasting of three thirds of Boundary beer in the taproom, with plenty of time for questions. Arrive 15 minutes before your start time. Private group bookings can be arranged by emailing the taproom.

The story

About Boundary

Boundary Brewing started in 2014 as a cooperative owned by its members, an unusual model that has helped it raise the profile of Northern Ireland craft beer ever since. Members buy a share in the brewery and get a say in how it runs, along with a discount on the beer.

The brewery is based in a converted industrial spinning mill on the Newtownards Road in east Belfast. Its taproom is described as Belfast's first cooperative-owned taproom, pouring 20 taps of fresh Boundary beer alongside cans, imported Belgian beer and wine.
