Plan your visit

From your first CBT to a full A licence

Most people start with CBT, the day that gets you legally out on a moped or motorcycle with L-plates. From there the school runs A1, A2 and full A (unrestricted) licence training, plus theory test preparation. Teaching is one-to-one, built around what you can already do, so an experienced rider returning to bikes and a complete beginner get very different plans. You ride the school's bikes, maintained to manufacturer spec. It suits anyone 16 or 17 and up (depending on category) who holds a provisional licence and genuinely wants to learn to ride, not a casual experience-day visitor.

The story

About the venue

Moto Training NI is a Broughshane-based motorcycle school that teaches one rider to one instructor and tailors each course to the individual. It is part of the Kawasaki Rider Training Schools (KRTS) network and has held Motorcycle Industry Association accreditation, with the school reporting that the large majority of its business comes from personal referrals.

Training takes in the roads around Ballymena and out through the Glens of Antrim, with the school also covering the greater Belfast area and County Antrim.
