The pools

There are two pools: a main pool for lane swimming, lessons and public sessions, and a warmer children's pool for younger swimmers to splash and build confidence. Swims are pre-booked by Swim Ticket, so check the current timetable before you set off.

The story

Named for a legend

The centre carries the name of Joey Dunlop, the Ballymoney road racer who became one of the most celebrated motorcyclists the sport has known. Naming the town's leisure centre after him keeps his name in everyday local life, long after the races.
