What you'll skate

The park mixes transition and street in one loop. There's a 4ft mini ramp with a flat bank and quarter hip, a 4ft jump box, and 4ft and 5ft quarters running off flat banks. Over on the plaza side you get a pyramid with a box rail and a planter to grind. Because every ramp blends into the concrete floor, you carry momentum across the whole park rather than stalling between features.

It's an open public park with no set programme, so any given day is turn-up-and-skate. Local skate groups sometimes gather here informally.

The story

How it got here

The park opened at the end of 2020 as part of the PEACE IV Shared Spaces project for Ards and North Down Borough Council, with LED lighting, fencing, landscaping and new paths built alongside it.

It was the first Northern Ireland skatepark built by Fearless Ramps, and the shared-space idea is baked into the design: one bright, open concrete space where every age and skill level can ride together.
