About Beer Hut
Beer Hut was started by two brothers-in-law in Kilkeel, named for the flat-pack hut they bought to brew in after being turfed out of the kitchen. They began on a 100-litre kit and have since expanded twice, now running a 1,000-litre plant near the town's harbour.
The brewery picked up the local brewing mantle after Whitewater moved north, and built a name on bold, nautically themed beers drawn from its fishing-port roots. The range spans IPAs, sours and limited experimental batches, brewed in vegan and gluten-free versions and carrying the brewery's distinctive label art.
