Over 70 shops, restaurants and cafés in a freshly rebuilt mall — said to be Northern Ireland's third-biggest shopping complex — with 1,800 free parking spaces and a lakeside city park right next door. When the forecast turns, this is the plan.

What you'll do — shop over 70 stores under one roof, anchored by Primark, Dunnes Stores, Next, H&M and TK Maxx, with Matalan, B&M and Home Bargains on the retail park outside — then finish with a walk at Craigavon Lakes, minutes from the door.
How long — a comfortable 2–3 hours; add lunch and the lakeside loop and it's an easy half day.
Cost & parking — free to browse, and the parking is genuinely free too: 1,800 spaces across the centre and retail park, including disabled bays. No ticket machines to feed.
Come ready — comfy shoes for a big single-level mall plus the retail park, and reusable bags for the haul. Trainers if you're adding the lakes.
Food — dependable rather than fancy: McDonald's, Nando's, Starbucks, Costa, Caffè Nero and Subway, plus smaller counters like Eatao and Fika. Busy at Saturday lunchtime — eat early.
When — open 7 days, late to 9pm Monday to Friday. Weekday mornings are the calm slot; a wet Saturday is exactly what the place is built for.
Sunday doesn't open until 1pm. Worth knowing before you load the car — it runs 1pm–6pm, and individual stores set their own hours, so check the centre's website before a special trip.
The glow-up is still rolling. Rushmere has been through a major redevelopment — a new Lidl opened in June 2026 and more new stores are announced — so the odd unit may be moving or behind hoardings when you visit.

No tickets, no booking — drive in, park for free and walk straight in. Centre hours are 9am–9pm Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm Saturday and 1pm–6pm Sunday; individual stores, cafés and restaurants set their own times within that, and hours shift on bank holidays and around Christmas. The layout is simple: one big mall with the anchors and fashion names inside, and the retail park units — Matalan, B&M, Home Bargains and more — a short walk across the car park. Park once and do both. Weekday mornings are quietest; Saturday afternoons are the buzz.

Mid-redevelopment — expect new names and the odd hoarding:

Rushmere changed hands in 2023 and has been through a multi-million-pound rebuild since — a fresh entrance and mall, Primark added, a new Lidl opened on the old petrol-station site in June 2026, and more stores announced for summer 2026. It's the best the place has looked in years, but units do move around — if you're coming for one particular shop, check the centre's website or ring 028 3834 3350 first.
