Meet and handle the animals
The indoor petting area is the centrepiece for young children — rabbits, snakes and other animals up close, handled with staff assistance. Buy a 50p bag of animal feed and let the kids get involved. In the summer months alpacas roam the wider grounds, and ducks, geese and swans occupy the large pond where you can feed the birds or take a boat ride. The mile-and-a-half of wooded and rose-lined walkways keep the pace relaxed and give smaller children room to wander without feeling rushed.

Good to know before you go:
Many farms are seasonal and busiest in spring lambing and the school holidays, so it’s worth checking opening times before you travel. These are working livestock farms, so pet dogs usually aren’t allowed (assistance dogs excepted), and a few take cash only — so bring a little with you.

Rosepark Farm is a family-run attraction on 80 acres of North Antrim countryside, about four miles outside Ballymoney. It has grown from a straightforward petting farm into something that takes a full half-day to explore, with rose-lined and wooded walkways stretching a mile and a half across the site.
The headline addition is the lagoon beach — the owners converted the farm's blue lagoon into what they say is Northern Ireland's first inland beach, complete with white sand imported to the site. It has become one of the farm's most talked-about features for families visiting the Causeway Coast area.
The farm has been named Top Family Farm in Northern Ireland by TripAdvisor reviewers. It opens for the season at Easter and runs through Halloween, with the busiest period being the school summer holidays when it is open every day.
