What the £6.10 gets you

The Health Suite and Swim rate covers the health suite and the pool together, so you can swim and then sit in the heat on one ticket. The health suite itself is the sauna, the steam room, the jacuzzi pool and the heated stone seating. If you want the gym in the same visit, the £7.60 Gym, Swim, Sauna and Steam rate is the one to ask for.

Sauna and steam room Jacuzzi pool Heated stone seating £6.10 pay-as-you-go with a swim No booking needed 6:30am starts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Good to know before you go:

This is a drop-in facility rather than a sessions-and-events one. Memberships run alongside the pay-as-you-go rates if you end up going often, so ask at reception which tier covers the health suite before you sign up.

The story

The unglamorous option, and the cheapest

Northern Ireland's sauna boom has been built on wood fires, sea views and booking apps, and it is good. It is also £13 to £15 a session and needs planning. The council health suite on Cecil Street does none of that and asks £6.10.

You will not get a stream-fed plunge or a fire pit. You will get a sauna, a steam room, a jacuzzi and hot stone seating from half six in the morning, with a pool attached and nothing to book. Some days that is the better deal.
