A tour that ends in your glass

The Brewery Tour and Tasting takes about an hour and fifteen minutes and is led by a host. You walk the brewhouse, see how the beer is made from the farm's own spring water, and hear the inspirations behind the names and recipes. It wraps up with a guided tasting of selected Heaney ales, so you finish having actually drunk the beers you have just heard about. The range covers Irish stout, Irish white ale and a New England IPA among others.

The story

About Heaney Farmhouse Brewery

Heaney Farmhouse Brewery was founded in 2016 by Mal and Suzanne McCay on the family farm at The Wood in Bellaghy, county Derry. Suzanne is a niece of the Nobel laureate poet Seamus Heaney, whose work is rooted in this same parish, and the brewery leans into that literary heritage.

The beer is made on a working farm using the farm's own spring water, and the operation runs on 100% renewable energy. The range blends traditional Irish styles such as stout and white ale with modern craft beers like a New England IPA, all brewed and tasted where they are made.
