Right in the heart of Portrush, a three-level indoor adventure frame of slides, climbing and ball play — with the Avenue Café for a fry and an arcade next door. When the North Coast throws it down, this is the easy answer for under-9s.

  • What you'll do — loose on a three-level soft-play frame with slides, climbing sections and ball play, in the Goldrush Entertainment Centre right in town. Built for children 9 and under.
  • Little ones — there's no separate baby zone, so all ages share the frame; the youngest stick to the lower sections while the bigger ones head up top.
  • Food's sorted — the Avenue Café is on site with a kids' menu, and Sprinkles ice cream parlour is right next door for after.
  • How long & cost — about a 90-minute play. When we checked it was roughly £6 for under-3s and £7 for ages 4–9, babes in arms free, with a cheaper Wacky Wednesday in term time. Prices change, so check before you go.
  • Just turn up — it's walk-in for normal play, no booking needed. Open Wed–Fri 11am–6pm and Sat–Sun 10am–6pm.
  • Closed Mondays & Tuesdays, and hours shift for private bookings — worth a quick look at their social media before a special trip.
  • No dedicated car park. Use the central Portrush town parking; it's a short walk in. Grippy socks are wise too — bring a pair each.

Two to remember:

It's closed Monday and Tuesday, so plan around that — and there's no car park of its own, so factor in the short walk from central Portrush parking. Pack grippy socks for the frame to be safe.

The story

Portrush's indoor frame at Goldrush

Wacky Workshop is the indoor soft-play frame inside the Goldrush Entertainment Centre on Dunluce Avenue, right in the heart of Portrush. It's a three-level adventure frame of slides, climbing and ball play, built for children 9 and under — the town's reliable answer when the North Coast weather turns.

It sits within a wider entertainment centre, so there's an arcade and prize zone alongside, the Avenue Café for a fry or a kids' lunch, and Sprinkles ice cream parlour next door. Easy to fold into a day around the West Strand, Barry's and the wider Causeway Coast.
