Plan your visit

Thirty rooms, three kinds of challenge

The 30 rooms split three ways: physical rooms that test speed, strength and stamina; mental rooms built on logic, memory and quick thinking; and skill rooms that reward balance, patience and focus. You choose which rooms to take on and in what order, and you set the difficulty (easy, medium or hard) for each, with harder settings worth more points. Rooms rotate and get refreshed over time, so check the current line-up, but examples have included a Crystal Maze room, a Laser Maze, Gym Tonic, Genius and Worlderland. Teams run from 2 to 5 players, with 4 the sweet spot. It is suitable from age 6, though the venue says it works best from 9 up for kids who can read the tasks and keep pace.

About the venue

Ultimate Challenges is part of Airtastic's Lisburn entertainment centre, which sits in the building formerly known as Lisburn Bowl at Lisburn Leisure Park, across from Lisburn Leisure Centre and under 20 minutes south of Belfast. Airtastic runs several entertainment centres across Ireland; the Lisburn site combines the Ultimate Challenges arena with bowling, laser tag, an arcade and a pizza restaurant under one roof.
