Where to find it

The sauna sits on Portstewart Strand, run in partnership with the National Trust who look after the beach. Free parking is available for sauna customers, which matters on a strand that fills up fast in summer. Toilets on site include accessible facilities.

The story

Heat and cold on the north coast

Sauna & Sea runs a mobile wood-fired sauna on one of the best beaches in the country, working alongside the National Trust who own and manage Portstewart Strand. The stated aim is straightforward: promoting health and wellbeing on the north coast through sauna and cold water.

The setting does a lot of the work. You get the heat, you get the open Atlantic a short walk away, and you get the view across the north coast while you cool off between rounds.
