Two pools

The main pool takes lane swimming, lessons and public sessions. The second pool is a warmer, shallower toddler and learner pool, so younger children have their own space to splash and build confidence rather than sharing the deep water.

The story

About Riversdale Leisure Centre

Riversdale is the main leisure centre for Strabane, and the two pools are the reason families come. The main pool covers lane swimming and lessons, while the smaller learner pool gives toddlers and beginners a warmer, shallower place to start. Add a big fitness suite, a sauna and steam suite and a sports hall, and there is enough to fill a wet afternoon. It is run by Derry City and Strabane District Council.
