The story

A Strabane fixture since 1994

Julie Duffy set up Ash Lee in 1994 and still runs it as a BHS professional accredited coach. The centre is built around quiet, well-schooled ponies and horses, the kind that turn a nervous first-timer into a rider who wants to come straight back.

Alongside lessons, Julie has pushed the centre toward equine-assisted learning and wellbeing, using time with horses to support mental health. The Strabane branch of Riding for the Disabled trains here every week.
