The story

About this place

Life Adventure operates from the historic Grange courtyard inside Castlewellan Forest Park, in the shadow of the Mourne Mountains in County Down. The park itself wraps around a lake and arboretum and is run by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, with paid parking at the entrance barrier.

The centre offers more than 15 land and water activities and works with individuals, families and groups, from complete beginners to experienced adventurers. Sessions run guided by qualified instructors or as straight equipment hire, with a coffee dock and drying room on site.

Belfast is about an hour away and Dublin around 90 minutes, making the centre an easy base for a day in the Mournes.
