A spa on the water's edge
The Killyhevlin sits just outside Enniskillen, where the land runs down to the water of Upper Lough Erne. It has been a family-run hotel here for decades, and the lough is really the whole point of the place — the lawns roll to the shore, and the views over the water are what people remember.
The spa, Kalm, is tucked into the hotel with its own relaxation lounge and a hydrotherapy area, and the outdoor hot tub is angled so you can sit in the warm water and look straight out over the lough. It's an unhurried spot rather than a big-city spa, and that's most of its appeal: come for a treatment or a day package, then take your time in the pool and the lounge before the drive home.
A fair word from visitors: most come away relaxed and happy with the treatments, but a few have found the shared pool area busy at times, and service the odd day less warm than hoped. Booking a treatment or a day package, rather than just turning up for the pool, tends to give the calmer visit — and the child-free evening pool window is there if you want it quieter still.
