Two paintball games, two age groups

The Splatmaster game suits younger players from age 8. The markers are low-velocity and a little less painful than standard paintball, and full face masks are provided. Groups run from 8 to 20 players in 90-minute sessions, with morning and afternoon slots (one session a day in winter). The gas-powered game is for ages 16 and over, using Tippmann FT-12 markers across an introductory target area and the main play zones, with tactical games like capture the flag. Adult sessions run 3 hours for up to 30 players. Both games are a good fit for birthday parties, youth groups, corporate days and stag or hen groups.

About the venue

Breckenhill is an outdoor activity centre set in the Antrim countryside at Doagh, near Ballyclare, about 30 minutes from Belfast. Run by husband-and-wife team David and Henrietta Reade, it is Adventuremark accredited and recommended by Outdoor NI.

Alongside paintball, the site offers archery, orienteering, low ropes, raft building, a traversing wall, kayaks and bushcraft, and it doubles as a venue for corporate events, weddings, and stag and hen parties.
