Fifteen years in the making
The push for a Ballymena skatepark goes back to 2006, when a petition gathered more than 2,000 names. It took until 2022 for the concrete to finally get poured in People's Park.
The design came from Gravity Skateparks and ex-pro skateboarder Marc Churchill, who shaped a freeform layout that grows with you. Master the street ledges and the ramps and bowl are waiting. It's built for boards, bikes, scooters and blades, so nobody gets left on the sidelines.
