About the park
Antrim Lough Shore Park sits where the Six Mile Water meets Lough Neagh, the largest freshwater lake in the British Isles. The wider park covers a long stretch of open shoreline with a marina, a caravan and camping site, and The Gateway exhibition centre telling the story of the lough and its wildlife.
It is run by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and forms part of a chain of free green spaces around the town, with Antrim Castle Gardens, Clotworthy House and the woodland walks at Rea's Wood all within easy reach. The play park was upgraded as part of the council's wider investment in inclusive, all-ages playgrounds across the borough.
