Putter golf with a sea view

The course is outdoor crazy golf, the classic kind where you are handed a putter and a coloured ball and work your way round the holes. It is not footgolf and not pitch and putt, so there is nothing to master and little ones can join in straight away. You walk it at your own pace, which makes it relaxed for mixed-age groups and grandparents. We were not able to confirm the exact number of holes or a set theme from the venue's own information, so check those on the day.

Good to know before you go:

Seaside mini golf and the promenade attractions around it run seasonally through the warmer months, with the outdoor course weather-dependent. Opening, prices and any holiday-season extras change year to year, so check the venue's own pages and Newcastle's seafront listings for current dates before you travel.

The story

About the course

The crazy golf is one of several long-standing outdoor amusements along Newcastle's Central Promenade, the same stretch of seafront as the Tropicana outdoor pool. We could not source detailed background, a build date or hole count for the course itself, so we have kept this guide to what is reliably true of the venue and flagged the rest as worth checking on the day.
