The bowling: 20 lanes, family-friendly setup

There are 20 lanes in total, including four VIP lanes that come with comfier seating if you want to make a fuss of a birthday or a group. Gutter bumpers and lighter balls are usually available so younger children can join in, and staff can set a lane up for kids on request. Shoe hire is the usual deal at a bowling alley, so wear or bring socks. There is a cap of around eight players per lane, so it suits families, friend groups and birthday parties alike. Check the venue's own pages for current group and party options.

The story

About the venue

The bowling alley in the Odyssey Pavilion was long known as Odyssey Bowl. In April 2022 Hollywood Bowl took it on, investing around £2.4 million in a refit and reopening it as their first centre in Northern Ireland, with 20 lanes including four VIP lanes.

It sits inside the Odyssey complex in Belfast's Titanic Quarter, alongside the SSE Arena, W5 and a cinema, sharing the large Odyssey car park. The bowling listing on Days Out NI may still carry the older Tenpin/Odyssey name, but the venue you visit today trades as Hollywood Bowl.
