A play park, a pitch and an arcade for the wet days

The outdoor play area has had serious investment and is one of the park's selling points for families. Next to it is an all-weather football and ball-games pitch, so older kids can burn off energy whatever the weather. When the rain rolls in off the Atlantic — and on this coast it does — there's an indoor arcade to fall back on. In peak summer, July and August, youth workers run organised activities for the children. The sweet shop is the other guaranteed stop of the day.

The story

About the park

Hilltop Holiday Park sits on Loguestown Road just outside Portrush, one of the larger parks on the Causeway Coast with over 650 caravan sites alongside cabins, geo domes and more than 80 touring pitches. It's run by Blairs Holiday Parks and stays open almost year-round, closing only in January.

Over recent years the park has been heavily reinvested in — improved roads and lighting, security fencing and barrier access, a new toilet, shower and laundry block, and the extended play area and ball pitch that families come for. The Sea Salt Café and arcade round out a site built for repeat seaside summers a few minutes from West Strand beach.
