Family golf on a championship estate

The estate's family option is the Wee Course, a 6-hole pitch and putt set next to the championship Castle Course. It's pitched at all ages, young and old, to try golf with a club and ball at an easy pace. There's also a practice and academy area on the estate with a driving range. We could not confirm a separate themed crazy golf course with a fixed hole count or castle and bridge obstacles from the venue's own pages, so if a themed course is what you're after, check with Galgorm first rather than assuming. As an outdoor estate, it suits dry, brighter days best.

The story

About the course

Galgorm Castle sits in a historic 220-acre demesne outside Ballymena, with a par-72 championship parkland course designed by Simon Gidman that opened in 1997 and now hosts the Northern Ireland Open. Alongside the big course, the estate runs family golf including a 6-hole pitch and putt and an academy with a driving range, so beginners and children can try the game in a relaxed setting.
