Paid indoor climbing, book ahead

This is a paid, bookable session rather than a drop-in play frame, so reserve a slot online before you travel. Climbing is for ages 4 and up, and a standard session runs around 75 minutes including sign-in, harness fitting and the safety brief, then roughly 55 minutes on the walls. Everyone climbing needs grippy socks, which you can buy on arrival for a couple of pounds if you do not have your own. Prices are split into off-peak and peak rates and change, so check the current price when you book. Adults can climb too rather than just watch.

The story

About the centre

Clip 'n Climb is a themed indoor climbing concept run inside We Are Vertigo, one of Northern Ireland's larger indoor activity sites in the Newtownbreda area of Belfast. Climbers use auto-belay harnesses to tackle a range of colourful walls and challenges, supervised by instructors, with sessions suitable from age 4 upwards.

It sits alongside the venue's other attractions, including an inflatable park and adventure centre, so families can build a longer day out from one location.
